Constructive Institute and Aarhuus Stiftstidendes Fond enter into a partnership to support local and regional journalism

With a grant of over 6 million DKK, Aarhuus Stiftstidendes Fond and Constructive Institute enter into a partnership, which for the next three years will help local and regional media in Denmark to a sustainable future.

12 journalists will have the opportunity to participate in our fellowship program and combine new knowledge from Aarhus University with time to develop constructive tools that will make local media more value-creating for Danish citizens.

“Local journalism is struggling in several places, and it is absolutely necessary to quickly strenghten the development of more meaningful content in order to reverse the trend that leads to the death of news papers and a deterioration of local democracy. Constructive Institute has impressively shown that constructive journalism can restore the crucial bond of trust between citizens and the media,” says the chairman of Aarhuus Stiftstidendes Fond, commercial lawyer Steffen Ebdrup.
