Constructive AI Explorers
Nine media outlets get the opportunity to improve their reporting on AI in Danish companies with support from Industriens Fond.
With a new multimillion grant, Industriens Fond (Danish Industry Foundation) is now giving nine Danish journalists the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of artificial intelligence through a stay at the Constructive Institute and Aarhus University.
Through the project Constructive AI Explorers, three news outlets at a time will enhance their coverage of the challenges and opportunities that the new AI tools create, particularly for small and medium-sized businesses across Denmark.
The grant from the Industriens Fond is 4.65 million DKK for a period of 18 months.
“We are proud to continue our successful collaboration with the Constructive Institute – now with a focus on creating inspiration and nuanced insight into the consequences of introducing AI and the new technologies in Danish companies”
Thomas Hofman-Bang, CEO of the Industriens Fond
The first three Explorers will be part of the Constructive Institute’s Fellowship program for the autumn semester of 2025. They will spend five months at the institute, starting in September. Jouurnalists, editor and others working in news rooms who are interested in the AI Explorer program can learn more here: https://constructiveinstitute.org/fellowship/.
The next three Explorers will begin work with their project in the spring semester, beginning in February and finishing late June 2026.
For the past three years, the Industriens Fond has supported constructive fellowships focused on climate change for climate editor Katrine Grønvald Raun from the Danish daily, Børsen, environmental journalist Karen Hjulmand from DR – Danish Broadcasting Corporation, and former editor-in-chief of Mandag Morgen, Tanja Nyrup Madsen.
“We are very grateful for the support from Industriens Find and look forward to the renewed collaboration”
Ulrik Haagerup, Founder and CEO of Constructive Institute
