Workshop: A European Perspective
A European Perspective Digital News Platforms (DNP Europe)
Constructive Institute is hosting a two-day editorial workshop on quality news in the age of AI. The workshop is made in collaboration with A European Perspective (AEP) and the AISBL EBU-UER and will explore how AI-driven tools can support solutions oriented storytelling while maintaining journalistic integrity and fostering public trust.

Since 2021, over 16 million people read the stories featured in A European Perspective (AEP), a news offering widget created by public service media organizations under the coordination of the AISBL EBU-UER. The widget presents original news stories from other participants to their online audiences, bringing a unique perspective from other corners of Europe. Since day one, the Constructive Institute has been part of A European Perspective contributing its expertise in algorithmic curation of content, guided by high editorial standards.
In 2024, having been granted a new round of EU funding, AEP has expanded its reach by starting to produce collaborative news stories, aiming at offering audiences a more comprehensive coverage of key European issues. The networked newsroom also began developing its News aggregator: Yep News (Your European Perspective), a single platform where audiences can explore stories from all participating newsrooms in one place, in the language of their choice.
This workshop, hosted by the Constructive Institute, invites editors from A European Perspective to play a key role in shaping the editorial curation of Yep News by guiding the deployment of AEP’s Public Service Algorithm and the CI’s Constructive News Algorithm within the aggregator – ensuring that the most relevant, high-value journalism reaches audiences across Europe. Participants will also join forces on a new set of cross-border stories, further enhancing the networked newsroom’s commitment to collaborative journalism.
